Because clearly I didn’t have enough going on already.

I’m starting a new job, taking care of Biscotti, taking care of five cats, trying to remember to take care of myself, keeping flowers alive, tending to a sourdough starter that seems determined to test my patience… and now I’ve decided to start a new book series too.

I picked up the first few books in the Coffeehouse Mystery Series. I grabbed the first four, so naturally that means we’re diving in headfirst.

There’s something comforting about curling up with a good mystery, a cup of coffee, and a puppy who thinks every page turn is an invitation to play. Maybe that’s exactly what I need right now—a little escape, a little routine, and a story that isn’t my own for a while.

So here’s to new chapters. In books, in jobs, in hobbies, and in life.

We’ll see if I can keep the flowers alive, the sourdough thriving, and remember who the murderer is by the end of the first book. 📚☕🐩🌱🥖

This little corner of the internet is where I write about grief, healing, and the unexpected process of rebuilding life after loss. Some posts are reflections, some are small wins, and some are just honest moments from the journey.

If you’re navigating grief too, I’m really glad you’re here.
